There is a new store on State St. and it’s called “It’s Sugar”. The owner/manager warmly welcomed me in and invited me to take some pictures. I took him up on his offer. No doubt this store is a photographer’s dream.
The store looks like this from State St. It is on lower to mid State and you can’t miss it.
There is the gumball machine in front now and there always seems to be some catchy sign with clever wordplay.
This store is pure eye candy as the photos below show. There is also a huge selection of candy of various sorts and I would not worry too much about its quality.
There is sugar everywhere.
I use the word “Sugar Shack” as reminiscent of an old song by the B52′s, classic stuff from my era which so many of the younger generation are so impressively up on. I made up that word.
I am not sure my photos even do the décor justice. See it for yourself.
In seeking out good pictures I am drawn by artistic beauty. I am sure there are other excellent stores that just don’t quite have the artistry.
Many State St. stores are decorated in the most modern artistic style possible. Note the overhead pipes (probably functional); this is part of the décor.
